QB Express #25 -- Posted by Pete on October 31, 2007

Happy Halloween! The October Issue of QB Express is now available.

This special Halloween edition has very little to do with pumpkins or ghosts, but is bursting through the seams with what you all really crave: QuickBasic and Freebasic! There are EIGHT tutorials this month, covering everything from floormapping and sphere mapping, to recursion, to peek and poke, to particle engines, to acceleration. We've also got some cool articles on User Oriented Programming, accessibility and file names, and "The multi-faceted nature of games."

All this and more in QB Express #25. Check it out!

Excelent addition Very Happy . I probably need to learn about peek/poke. I'm horrible with memory related stuff.

It works fine for me. Nice issue! The tutorial about angles (prt 2) was cool. I checked only the final compiled exe and everything seems really well explained and controlling the space ship is great. The camera movements are good too, and the AI is well done. If you can make a story behind it and make some nice graphics(maybe with polygons) you could really make some great shit!

Looks like QBE is still having issues with Firefox, namely the huge gray boxes. Using the very latest, 2.0.0.9.
