I'm looking into making .htaccess rewrite rules which will parse incoming links for the old forum and automatically redirect to the proper URL on the new forum. I'll play around with it and see what I can figure out. That way, you won't need to update any of the old links.
It appears you did it, I just tried a old link, from one forum, and it linked to
http://www.petesqbsite.com
just fine , then from the main site, I selected forum, How ever I don't know if it would be the same if the link had been dircetly to the forum,.. Every where I posted links to here, the links are actually, just to the main web site. So any way that means I don't need to change any links,..
Edited: Ok well I just tried it with the old link,
http://petesqbsite.com/forum
to the forum, and get the archived forum, but also it is easy to notice up in the upper right corner, you have a link to the upgraded forum, I don't think anyone would have much trouble figuring that out.

Nice to see the upgrade, thanks for taking the time to do this, I do like the old Subsilver theme, that is what I use , but it is nice that for those that want something different they can.

A few things:

*The URL of the forum is now: http://petesqbsite.com/phpBB3

*The old ARCHIVED / READ ONLY forum is still up at: http://petesqbsite.com/forum
This is so that any old web links pointing to the forum will still work...but nobody should be able to post anything new there. Ultimately, I might write some .htaccess redirect rules to just automatically send old links to the current forum.

*All of the old posts and user accounts have been transitioned over, and everything should be here. If something is missing or seems messed up, please post in the comments below.

*The default theme is based on the old "SubSilver" theme that we were using for years on the forums. I don't think it's the best looking theme out there, but it does the job and should match with any styling / posts people put up in the past.

The good news is if you don't like this theme, PHPBB3 supports personal themes. You can log in and set your own theme that only you will see (when logged in). There are currently three very basic themes installed, but I'm happy to install more.

If there's a theme you'd like me to install, please post in the comments below. There are dozens of free themes available at: http://www.phpbb3styles.net (among other sites) and I'm happy to install a few more.

Let me know what you think!
