A recent discovery

After compiling a ASCII RPG in RapidQ and sending to my friend I decided that I needed a change. How about FreeBasic, I said to thy self. So I look it up on google and find the homepage. Looks cool I say, but at what price? I goto the download page and scan to the download. It is five meg I say! No ...

Binding is what programming languages like WXBasic and RapidQ do to create executables for programs. With binding, when the code is compiled it is not converted to bytecode like QB, it is simply merged with a copy of the interpreter in a new file. When that new file is opened it runs the code with t...

I think it's a good idea to have a seperate forum for BASIC deriatives but QB and FB can stay together; they are too similar. It would be a good idea to have a forum for Dark, Liberty, Small, Tiny, Rapid, Extreme(very new but good), etc.

I'm surprised at how many Aussies I find on this forum and others alike. I kind of live in the 'bush' so I get a reasonable amount of exercise. I do have a pushbike but I'm usually riding my motorbike. I also cut wood almost every weekend. I play sport a lot at school as well.

Well I don't think that 'expert' programmers 'hack'; they create/program. You could say that a cracker 'hacks' and when he (or she) breaches a system, they have cracked. So in MY view: Hacker = Expert programmer Cracker = Computer criminal/intruder Hack = Attempt to breach system Crack = Successfull...

I've done it several times. It often happens when you don't start with a plan or don't follow the plan. Yes, you do lose a lot of code that will take a while to figure out again, but destroying something that took ages to make but still pisses you off is just FUN! Isn't it? . You also get a re...

OK, you think that a hacker is whatever you want. But the true meaning is describe here http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html How to Become a Hacker. Hackers build things, crackers break them. :)

No, I never thought the author was being serious! I'm certainly not that gullable, but I was just pointing out the seriousness of his other articles. 'Lunix' sure gave it away! BSD, Lunix, Debian and Mandrake are all versions of an illegal hacker operation system, invented by a Soviet computer hacke...

Want a good laugh?

Check this out! http://adequacy.org/public/stories/2001.12.2.42056.2147.html Is your son a computer hacker? I found while looking for stories about victims of hackers. And what a load of bullsh*t it is! . But its also a good source of laughter. It was posted back in 2002 and there are over 5900 comm...
