Single place to upload and share programs?
i've been browsing around on here since i haven't been here in so long, and it's really hard to find cool new programs to try. Sure, dropbox links work and code can be posted, but what would be really awesome is a single place where everything is collected and organized. The file submission on Pete'...

Good old days.

Sigh.
Just thought i'd post for the nostalgia. [sigh] Ah, the old days. i started learning a long time ago from reading the tutorials on the original QBasic.com. i would spend the little time that my parents let me tie up the phone line downloading as many qbasic games as i could get my hands on. They all...

Outstanding!
This thread is probably dead, but i couldn't resist posting here! Great job. Very minimal code. i remember my first raycaster... it was big and bulky. All kinds of subroutines everywhere and huge chunks of garbage code. i noticed it fishbowls though. (When you look at a flat wall straight on it look...

When I was fooling around with my parallel port, I found a great driver that opens any I/O ports you want called userport. It could help.

Re: x + x^2=90
I know that in this case, x is equal to 9, but how would I figure this out mathematically? Looks like you have a quadratic equation thingy. x^2 + x - 90 = 0 http://mathworld.wolfram.com/images/equations/QuadraticEquation/equation5.gif though that could be optimized a bit because 'a' and 'b' would b...

Re: How to make the computer think that a key has been press
I'm not actually going to try this, if that's what you mean. I'm busy with my own projects as well as school. I was just suggesting a method that might work.Nekrophidius wrote:What might help is if you state your true intentions rather than dancing around the mulberry bush, know what I mean?

Re: How to make the computer think that a key has been press
You would need to use the GetAsyncKeyState API call, it picks up keystates whether the parent application has focus or not. But I don't think that that's what he's looking for...it looks more like what he wants is a program that enters keystrokes by itself, in which case, SendKeys will do the job. ...

Re: How to make the computer think that a key has been press
How can you make the computer think that a key has been pressed? You can do this in QB by using INKEY$ or ON KEY. But you should expalin in more detail what you need or want to do. Regards..... Moneo He made a post about a keylogger before... So I'm guessing he wants to make a program that gets a k...
