Hmm, well, there's another part to my tutorial, getting the XMS memory to work. I had to make a wrapper for the Extended/Expanded memory management routines, that enclose the sliding window movement functions, in DEF FN so that the sliding window, to XMS, gets slid around, being called out of the MA...

My Lab is now snaked and spider web'ed with wires ready 2 go

I'm concurrently recording old magnetic media, including audio tapes, and data short minute tapes for retro computers into Audacity, behind me, doing lots of things at once. I have a really nice USB headset, instead of the regular audio ear/mic in jacks, it's got 200% better quality than the normal ...

"I don't think the speaker or the primitive sound circuitry could genuinely produce multiple tones at the same time." It is possible to generate multiple tones at the same time, but it requires MOD PLAYER type pre-calculations on the fly, outputting audio to the 1-bit speaker, as if it was...

Yeah it did, it used arpeggio, it would play them a whole bunch of times in succession, within the space of a normal single note. :M They use that same trick in QBasic, I can dig up a program that uses it alot, it's one of the songs from one of the Fievel movies, that they use that trick extensively...

"I remember years ago when I wanted to get Applesoft BASIC to generate polyphony, that is, more than one note at a time. I even wrote in to some magazine to ask for help. Needless to say, it was a little out of my league, as it required advanced assembly techniques. " I remember such an AS...

There is no difference, it IS DosBox, same as DOSBOX.EXE except, You can include all the settings, and have the webpage boot your game program, without having any user interaction, to get the "DOSBOX set just right", somehow, they get all the settings pre-set, and in the *.IMG file, which ...

Possible Future for Qbasic & QuickBasic

As games in-browser. http://www.classicdosgames.com/online/paku_1_5.html They used jDosBox on this website, to host a java version of DOSBOX, we have a new way to distribute & share games. I don't wanna deal with ClassicDosGames dot com, I wanna figure out how to use the jDosBox ourselves. ~Kiyo...

"this limits your code to work only on pure dos or dosbox" I've gotten my XMS/EMS solution to run under WinXP's regular DOS Window, as long as I had a *.PIF or a *.LNK file set up first that demanded EMS/XMS support be given to the DOS window/box. ~Kiyote! I wonder if what I did classifies...
