Re: HAVE YOU A MISTERY? SOLVED OR NOT?

a big slowdown for most people is the malicious processes that run on their computers. programs like "adobeARM" which seems to have no job at all but run delay cycles using up resources profile and tell on any text you may copy/paste. making the computer owner hate his "slow junk computer" and buy a...

Re: Battling fruit flies and gnats

the bottle is the best trick I have seen. I suppose the bugs are attracted to the CO2 released by the fermentation process which is infused into emulsion of the vinegar slowly being released as evaporation splits molecules. same gas also released by humans exhaling, being the reason they follow peop...

Re: Solar panel charge monitor with auto shutoff

right, I always wanted to dig a big hole lay thick plastic insulator then a ground plate then layer gravel as a separator then dirt/water electrolyte. then positive plate, then cement pad and antenna. using a large enough hole and a big spark gap for overload protection it could in theory store ligh...

Re: Solar panel charge monitor with auto shutoff

yup, heat. ever notice when your cell phone gets to the end and needs a re-charge it gets hot? that heat is the loss most battery's give the heat off linearly as in a graph with a single straight diagonal line from min to max. but the Li-ion gives off its heat at the end or a curve or arc if picture...

Re: How can I stop the"boom"'BOOM", base noise ma

I know how to fix this problem! take a hammer and break spark plugs or an old crock-pot into pieces. once you have little 1/2 inch pieces of porcilin you will need a simple slingshot. on each pass pop a window for them, they will probably stop driving by. if not they will eventually have no windows ...

Re: Smile, you're on candid camera

though I question the under table application as being anything but a jerk cam, I am glad to see working with cams.. has there been any advance in using the cam with qb64? I would love to be able to snap pictures from shell command and use point commands to do color blob detection "robot vision" is ...

Re: Solar panel charge monitor with auto shutoff

not enough for my needs yet. need 6.5A minimum. but perhaps it could be used to charge a bank of batteries for intermittent use.. it may take a week or more to fully charge but then it would provide a invertible current.

cap banks may be the best answer there again to.

Re: a sophomore epiphany?...

well as I see it now, the truth in the bible is exampled in this fact. so now we can identify the enemy what to do with them is the question. the bible promises the heathen as an inheritance to the up-right. I am overly abundant in inheritance for the moment. so what do I do with them? you can't tea...

Re: a sophomore epiphany?...

yeah water bottles made from wasted oil. I couldn't have any problem if it came in a paper carton or "reusable bottles" or at-least an aluminum can but as precious as oil has become and they still push more plastic throw-aways into the oceans. that is what urk's me.. I finally realize to, who to poi...

lmao..ooops BUSTED.. I confess we all use qb64 but aren't allowed general discussion and sounding space for idea development there, so we are orphans in some since but overall are better off for it.(better vibe). just to much religious espionage and emphasis on ritualistic kissing the a$$ of hierarc...

Re: More LED fun

caught something said by @burger about "solar battery already died" have you learned about getting over the solar hump of the 70s-80s? "batteries have memory", those charged by solar cells have low "instantaneous current" memories. the old way, you had to "cycle them" which is a way of saying "give ...

I am using this same script method in a program and am wondering if anyone had any ideas on a script language it's self? is there some standard it is better to follow? I mean the example used DISPLAYTEXT to correspond to the qb print but the displaytext command could just as well be "wetdog".. I see...

Re: Electronic projects using LEDs

ok so the connection is simple the solar cell connects one leg to the phone battery the other to a cds cell then to the other leg of the battery. this isolates the solar charging circuit. the can battery circuit connects the same way with a rectifier diode in series. this makes sure current only mov...

I have a new LED project to share I though I had brought the right thumbdrive to post pictures but didn't anyhow.. I made a (beer-can battery) if you never seen one you missed little but here it goes. to make the required cell you will need (9 clean empty cans),(9*8inch strips of 10-12 gauge copper ...
