to you burger
Dearest Burger####, That option was set there just for you. Because we distastefully HATE each other with much zest and flaire, I thought it was proper to leave a possibility in there for my anti-fan club, in case they had more qualms about me. Has a nice day,.. Lol Cats.. Lol cat says LOL.. Kiyote!

CTRL + SCROLL LOCK This is how to get it to work. I've had to do CTRL + BREAK or CTRL + SCROLL LOCK, depending on whether i'm in emulation (dosbox), or various OS setups. I'm not sure why it switched over. Kiyote! If the FN button is dark blue, and there is a secondary function to one of your keys t...

Create Animated GIFs from static images -- help
Anyone know how to create animated GIF's? I know there is a decoder by Antoni Gaul? I'm sure if I fiddled with the decoder and did enough binary dumps of GIF89 type files I could crack the scheme, but that will take some doing. Has anyone stumbled across or made the code to make them already? You co...

I had a crippled version of this. I only had ONE keypad controller. I have a huge favor. Could you scan the overlays to the keypads and email them to me????? I used to code in this. I had to swap the keypad from port to port (1 player to 2 player), to program it. Very taxing on the hands after awhil...

The Future of Windows 7
I bet that once Windows 7 comes out, (to replace the dead cow we call Vista), there will be a programming language with it.
Every time Windows comes out without a programming language, all the magic falls out of the OS, and all the poop shines through.
Windows 7 Basic anyone?

ftp help
Once you get to being able to download html files using your network connection gadget, you should be able to access a FTP site in the same type of manner. You just have to access it on the correct ports, provide username and password, then do regular access type commands. You might have to look int...

qbasic source
If you look carefully, you will find a link to a program in QB that does the decoding. You should be able to insert a wait-routine to nab the different frames if you decode how the thing works. http://www.geocities.com/antonigual/qbasic.html#viewers http://www.geocities.com/antonigual/qbsource/anigi...

search cd_textfiles bbs ftp site
Search the graphics tools programs in the cd.textfiles site for screen capture programs, for DOS only, (which also works under DOSBOX.) DOSBOX is very very handy because it lets you install TSR programs to do things like capture screens, while running under the Windows environment. For Windows, just...

Wanna make intelligent computer
I'm going to attempt to make a computer that at the very least, has some interesting conversation. If I was going to start off, I would begin with the source to Eliza, then add some neural net learning code (from MIT?), give my computer some easily interactive tools, (speech recognition hooks, speec...

google it?
If I was going to tackle this problem, I would take 2 steps back, then another 5 to 10 steps back. DOS handled all this crap way back when, using NETWARE. After Windows came out, they crammed them out of existance. I would seriously look into reading older details about NETWARE style Interrupt calls...

Major problems with LCD
If you search for posts by the author Kiyotewolf , you should be able to find the post I wrote that covers the QB code for call interrupts. With the LCD monitor problem, I have a few questions. 1. Is it a color monitor? or B/W? 2. You are obviously running underneath Windows, .. unless you are down ...

Thanks for helping
Does anyone know of a Windows based IDE with a built in help for FB? I think alot of my problems might be solved with a good help function with examples. I would like someone to make a nice example of the differences between normal arrays and pointer arrays. Am I right? You can't send regular arrays...

More on SUB and array usage
I think what I'm frustrated most about FB, is the different way of using pointers instead of just passing arrays into SUBs and FUNCTIONs like I'm used to. I need an example of a program that either loads from a file into an array, then passes the array to the SUB or FUNCTION, (maybe an example of bo...
