Relsoft's 3d tutorials (http://qbnz.com/pages/tutorials/index.html at the bottom of the page) give you all the information you need to handle polygon-based 3d stuff, and have plenty of examples. Even if you have other 3d tutorials, I reccomend printing at least the first two of these off. They're go...

Firstly, you didn't break any unwritten rule by asking for help, but it is a little hard to respond if you don't post any code along with your problem. Just FYI for next time ;). Secondly, tutorials are a good way to get information, but from my experience, having an example to look at helps you to ...

Ok, I've released Ascii Arena. You can download it at this address:

I modified the old Spy site to host the download.

Announcing new game
I'm just about ready to release another game. This one's called Ascii Arena, and departs from the path I took with Spy, where I just smashed a whole bunch of concepts together. It's not quite as complex as Spy, but hopefully a lot more fun. In Ascii Arena, you run around the one screen map, trying t...

No, sorry. The site doesn't work. I read up on modem usage, though, and can most probably make a 2 player online game, but I really want to make one for 2 or more players, where anyone can go online and see what servers are active. I don't know the first thing about this, though. Is kahn an actual s...

I have directsound for qbasic, and I can't get the demo to run sound. How do I do this?
On a related note, how do I use this library? I've never used a library before.

online games again!
Ok. A while ago I posted a topic on "online multiplayer". In it, I said I basicaly knew what to do, and just needed a little help. Now, after looking into it, and with a new game almost ready for level design, I've decided that I don't know how to go about online multiplayer. Can anyone gi...

Spy??? Qlympics????
How on earth did Spy get nominated?? Over Darkwoods??? I thought the lousy speed routine would ruin its chances at anything.

Online game
Hello Qb world! I havn't been on in awhile. And I have been working on my spelling, so my posts should be readable  . Anyway, here's my question. How hard would it be to create a online (text based) game, sort of in the style of Counterstrike or Quake? I know that you need to have a server, an...

I've noticed that some games have a bass and melody line both being played with what seems to be the QB PLAY command. Let me put this another way. Is it possible to have a bass and melody line using only the PLAY command?

challenges
How do you learn about QB challenges? I've seen many of them (like the rogue-like that is going on now), but I've always been too late to sign up. Is there a 'secret' to finding challenges in time to join?
