Just so everyone knows, that guest above was me. I was playing the game while I was on the forum, and it must have logged me out since I was on for so long.

Okay... Well, first you'll need to learn something like the Windows API or SDL. If you don't have much coding experience, good luck. If that sounds too scary, you can go out and buy Visual Basic, for the low low price of too damn much. If that's too scary, and the program you want to write is only g...

moneo: You'd need to read the article to understand. I'd say the compression logic moreso than the IO transfers would take time. I'm sitting here stumped as to how to make it a fairly efficient process. I'm at a friend's place, and he doesn't code, let alone have FB, so I can't really just code some...

Yep. He started it back up for 2 chapters back in August or September. Odd that it went down that quickly. Who knows, he might renew the domain, he might not.

Heh, anyone got the tutorial in Temporary Internet Files, by any chance? I don't... I have my folder set to a max of 1 MB. :D

Heh, thanks. I'm actually thinking of re-writing them to be a little more structured than the original ones. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do part 3 this month... but I'm not gonna say "no" for sure. :) I'm just really getting into Rel's 3D tutorials, and, quite honestly, it's been takin...

Here's my thoughts on this month's article: Not sure what to say about mennonite's email, only that I agree with Pete, for the most part, with the whole RTFM thing. I think it's completely reasonable for someone to get that response. All it takes is a quick Google search and a poke through the tutor...

Basically, the stack is a memory structure that you can push variables onto and pop them off. You'd have to get into assembly to really understand how the stack works.

To fix your error, put this somewhere at the beginning of your program:

Code: Select all

Good luck man! :D

Pfft... the current MSN search engine takes an eternity to load on my comp. Although with a gazillion ads and other crap I don't need, it's no wonder.

According to most people, the Wetspot games and the Cyber Chick Demo are pretty good as well. Most of these games were creat...

Nobody else uses the term h0x0r or r0x0r. There are reasonable Linux users(you), and there is (him\her\those 2) That still doesn't explain how you KNOW they're from a Linux forum. I use h4x0r and r0x0r in everyday real life conversation... to simulate a person who spends too much time playing onlin...
