For those multipage threads, can we have the last post from page 1 be posted on the next page as well? Just to help us continue in what we are reading? A prime example is the new post link. When watching a topic, and you click that link, you will get one post on a new page, which is kinda confusing ...

I agree with having to register, but it is a put-off to those visitors who simply want to tell the site about something.
