From what I understand, the five port setup is for timing reasons. Each controller status is read in sequence, and the software interprets the controllers in said sequential order. This was correlated by certain older software exhibiting strange behavior when the multitap was used (such as two contr...

Rebuild the library. But this time, be sure to include the default quicklibrary.

Yeah some of the doc is inaccurate like I said before, plus some of it was modified by someone. Dunno what you mean in terms of flipping though...the PCE can't do tile flipping but it most certainly can do sprite flipping. It'd be an awfully useless game machine if it couldn't flip sprites. :D At th...

Actually, the PCE has a 6280 which is a 6502 variant. In terms of instructions, it's pretty on-par with the Genesis' 68000, even surpassing it in some ways. And yeah, the Genesis video chip could have used some serious improvements. Having such limited colors is such a damn drag. 32 palettes are ava...

DirectQB should be built with the default library, so all you would need to do is /l dqb on the command line and it should have ABSOLUTE included. That is, of course, if you built it correctly. All the /l switch does is say "hey, load a library". When you use /l by itself without parameter...

That would be a good idea. Since you already have sound covered, using MIDIs from WS2 shouldn't be an issue for you. Or really, MIDIs from any source provided they don't use too many instruments. On my hardware of choice, I can "cheat" a bit by simply putting the game on CDROM and using re...

Necroposting, but y'all will get over it. Anyways, I suggest Wetspot. It's the quintessential QB game. I'll do a port to the TG16 if you do a Genesis port.

burger, I'm still waiting for this list of people who supposedly feel my "continual bashing of QB and FB is intolerable". Since you've thus far been unable to produce this list, I'm to assume that everything out of your mouth is complete and utter BULLSHIT.

Well roy, he IS technically right. QB is archaic (not obsolete though, just archaic...obsolete would be GW-BASIC), FB is technically a better language and compiler, and the FB community is quite a bit more helpful than this one.

Back up your words, bigshot. Show me these "many". Give some names and references, quotes if you've got them (which you don't but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt anyways).
