Windows 98 already can use a port. If you need to add one use a cheap PCI card port. USB is tough in 98. Near impossible in XP because it protects the ports from access. Try PortTalk in XP

I made some programs to monitor the serial and parallel ports. The problem is that I want to try to get some input from people that have devices on them. 4000 lines of code in an old QB program? Come on! On a Win 3.1? Probably comma separated data files, which could be easily converted, but he will have to determine the needs for a new program and the new data fields. ALSO SCREEN 13 is 40 columns wide folks

SCREEN 12 is 80 wide like the default screen.

12 has the best resolution and 30 rows

The program seems way too big to run even with a bunch of subs. You could use CHAIN to hook different parts of the program together. IE: Change some subs into other BAS files. NOTE: If you use CHAIN do not add the extension: CHAIN "Menu" 'NOT CHAIN "Menu.BAS" CHAIN automatically ...
