Progress update:

Me and BigBadKing are working on this.
Currently he has been working on adding variables with custom names.
I should start working on adding line numbers soon as well.

I have over a terrabyte to waste, also I DO use line numbers in most other versions of basic, like Atari Basic. I just like the way it looks. thats all.

the version you have might be the old version. when I moved it to my site, it was the new version with functions support and other stuf.

well, I think I can get away with calling it 32 but because the name ST means 16/32 =] most people cant tell.

Ok, I updated the main post. I put it on my website now, so it will stay there forever.

One of the new sample programs, hongpong.mi2 might need slight modification on your computer. If it is too fast or too slow, change variable #11 from 600 to whatever works best for you.

I still run a 32 bit Atari ST. and a 16 bit Atari portfolio. and several Atari 8 bits.

I even program the Atari 2600 with Batari Basic. With a .NET ide.... on windows XP and 7

BASM is not bad, but not really QB compatible. but as with most BASICs it should not be a problem to move over to it...

I know it is not pretty, but my goal here was not to create another BASIC. My goal was to at least make a working language.
