I don't know if it does, but Linux doesn't have a real C++ compiler but it's call GCC, under GNU license. Use ur bigfriend (Google) to look for the source. I'm not sure what this "small linux" you speak of is... but if it is Damn Small Linux, then no, it does not have a C++ compiler on th...

uGL has sound support, yes (SB 1.0/1.0+/2.0/2.0+/Pro/16 and compatibles), in addition to a whole bunch of other stuff. (As pointed out before, http://www.phatcode.net/downloads.php?id=195 - I would recommend downloading it just to look at the source code). It most definitely works with QB.

Good luck with that... but uGL is essentially what you are attempting, except already written. :)

I personally think the dqb is a good idea; it helps avoid namespace pollution.

No, actually, GAIM is an awesome open-source IM client with support for YIM, AIM, MSNM, and others. It has absolutely nothing to do with Gator.

If you're using QB of any sort other than 1.1 (the one that came with DOS and Win95, etc.) then you can use BC.EXE - just run it without parameters and it will prompt you for the information, which you can then put into a command-line form. Then you will need to use LINK to link all the .obj files (...

To add things to the registry, you can create a .REG file and then merge it with 'regedit /S filetomerge.reg'.

If I remember correctly, Duke Nukem 3D had some support for red-blue stereo glasses; it didn't seem to work quite right for me, though (probably had the wrong glasses or something). Pretty cool idea. :)

Hmm, I think that guy has a stick up his 4$$; I personally don't love Microsoft, but I don't hate them, either. However, I understand that Linux does do something useful and does it very well - specifically, it is a stable, well-supported, and secure server operating system, in combination with othe...

There is a possibility that the sockets stuff in FB would work in the DOS port, but it is a very remote possibility. It would probably use WattTCP-32 or something similar, which requires the user to install an appropriate packet driver for his network card (or modem, I guess) - I have not personally...

Hey, I found another site that has similar problems to QB Express in Firefox (gray boxes, but also empty text boxes and missing text boxes): http://ubuntuguide.org/
