You know, in the past, everything that Pete Berg, his website and his forum have done for the QMunity. We all know no matter where and when in time we've been fortunate enough to find his website and forum. Looking for something, some article, some trick, chances are, you'll find it here. this is how useful it's been and still is.

As you all know by now, me, I've been around for about 2 years...maybe 2 1/2....I haven't lived all the history, all the events, I've just read about the little I could find here and there. But that's not enough. I want to know more...so here's what I'm suggesting.

Basically, I want to write an article about pete's qb site. and about pete for QB Express. I want all the details of both pete and his website. I want all the gory details of how his website first saw the light of day, how things were created, what it looked at the beginning, how it got to become what it is today. I also want to know ALL about pete...Who is this guy? ;-) what did he program way back when he did have time to code, when whre and why he decided to do his website, what inspired him, etc etc...all the details until the release of QB Exspress #1 which he already detailed in that first issue :-) and some posts...

Of course, I haven't been here long enough to know all this, so any piece of information that you Pete and anyone and everyone else here has about all that...if you could add to this thread so something can be created from all the information that I'll have here :-).

Remember, ALL the gory details, about pete's qb site, and about pete berg himself. so start typing people ;-).

lol...yup, I read that already...but that doesn't scratch the surface ;-)...oh and I also read the history.html file before anyone decides to post that...hehe....

But I want more...I want insight from the people that there back then, people that lived the events as theyh happened...etc etc...you know...real experiences that helped pete and his website become what they are today. :-)

You know, I would like a history of the qmunity too. As I type this, I feel like I'm 9 again, first learning QBASiC, unaware of the qmunity. There are sooo many things that I want to know. What happened to WisdomDude? How was his relation with Pete? What made Relsoft so famous. Was it RelLib, or other programs, or was it everything!? I want it all.

Everything.

I second that Nathan...right now, i'll start with pete and his site...but on a further article, i'll get the complete qmunity

good luck with that project mystik but in the end you might be limited to how far you can go back. and it be very fractured. for example all the stuff at qb45.com is pretty much gone so all the great stuff from the days of future soft are gone.

the old Enhanced creation Board is also gone so all that's lost as well.

and neozones now neobasic doesn't keep a history at all. if it does then its not accessible for historical reference.

really ironically the only QB forum that maintains an almost complete history of the Qmmunity is the old network54 qb forum but even then that only one little slice of the pie and it only goes back to 1999.

We don't need a forum itself, but we need people who know the history of QB.

Hahah, I arrive back from Ethiopia, to find this. I'm flattered. :)

If you've got any questions, feel free to email me.... though I do think the History and About Me sections are probably your best bet. ;)
