Also, for all of you Windows users, Vista has also released a Release Canidate, available for download. Just go to http://www.windowsvista.com - It beats the crap out of coughing up $150 for it.
Note: The ISOs are HUGE! 3GB for the 32-bit edition, 4GB for the 64-bit edition (you will need a DVD burner!)

KDE 3.5.4, amaroK, newer versions of many utilities (like Firefox), new X11 stuffs, more support for the 2.6.X.X line of kernels, and more.

Sounds like it wouldn't be much of a difference for my server, but it would be for my desktop.

Update manager tells when you can install it. Basicly it's a normal update, might take few minutes longer.

Alltho, present version 6.06 is LTS (long term support) and it's updated for security things in long future (practically until 7.04 comes) so it's not so hurry thing to go for 6.10 unless you just want to.

Rumor says that after 6.10, ubuntu cd's are not delivered for free anymore. Price is 1e/cd since expenses to post cd's all over the world are high and this way they want to cover at least some of them. That is something i can easily understand since i know guys who orders like 10 cd's every day.

Ok, Ubuntu 6.10 is there. Alltho i sayd, it can be easily installed thru update manager, im not so sure anymore.
But as told, no need to update unless you specially know there is something you want/need on new version.

Edgy Eft's ndiswrapper doesn't work... grr... Gonna have to stick with dapper for now. Good thing I was home sick today, or I would have been so pissed at my computer after taking the finals (today was the last day of the term). I forgot my homework AND my L.A. papers to study. :-/
