New Genre of Game!

RobotWars (Official game of the QBasic Station) 8) Now available!

The only game around where you play not by controlling a sprite, or clicking buttons here and there, but by writing code. Create your own battle robots to complete missions, then download other programmers' scripts (from the QBasic Station) to test against your own programming.

Tutorial on 'RoboScript' is included.

 Visit The QBasic Station for more information and to download the game.

I remember a game like this from way back. You programmed the robot in Pascal, and pit different robots against each other. It was quite popular and a lot of fun.

A variant of this type of game is called Core Wars. You write programs in Red Code, that try to destroy other programs within a "core" memory space. A little bit harder to grasp, but a lot of fun as well.

RobotWars is now available for download...

The game is finally ready. Visit http://www.qbasicstation.com/index.php?c=p_robotwars to download the game. Make sure you get the manual too. You'll need it to learn how to write your own RoboScript files.

Since this is the flagship game of the QBasic Station, there is also a special forum for Q&A and a member's files upload category for RoboScript as well. They will both help you learn how to create great robots.
