Quickbasic 3.0 Binary Format Conversion

Post by RicL »

I have quite a few programs I wrote in QB 3.0, but saved in the old binary "quick load" format. I've still got a version of QB 4.0, but have long since tossed my QB 3.0 compiler. Any converters out there? Thanx.

Did you try to Open it in 4.0 and try to SAVE AS as text readable?

You are not the only person to have those problems. Why did you scrap your old compiler? They don't use THAT much disk space!

as far as i know, you dont need to worry. the QUICK-LOAD file version can be loaded by all QB compilers (unless you are trying to open a QUICKLOAD file under a lower version than the QB you used to make it. )

Advise! If a post is a month old, and the Original Poster(OP) has not replied, you are wasting your time to think they are coming back to answer you or say thanks.

But, since I am here anyhow, here is a site to download ANY QB version with the history since M$ started the monster:

I WISH it was different, but MANY people don't reply either because they forgot the site or they are RUDE!

90% of the time, they just are plain rude, get the answer and run! Why it is so difficult to say thanks is because they are on the internet after all...why bother?

So a majority of my posts aren't answered anyhow. Thanks for answering mine.
