Basic-To-C compiler

Post by BigBadKing »

I and SumoAlien created a program called BTC (Basic-To-C) compiler, it translates code from Basic to the C Language. which then can be compiled and used, advantages? one of them is to lower the size of your .EXE file, still. read the README.TXT to gather abit of information about it, you can download BTC v1.0 beta at <a href="http://www.qb45.com/files.php?cat=10&p=1">Qb45.com</a>. suggestions and bug reports are welcome.

It might help if you used the specific link to your file.

All I got was the entry page.....

Your right there! He makes it sound like something that could challenge QB64 or (yuck) even FB.

I got NO description, no file name but a button to download something, and I refuse to dowload ANYTHING under those circumstances.

I would at least have some kind of description before posting a link to something. Hey, no effort, no download ........

I don't know of any other site that does not require registration. I am currently using www.4shared.com . You can make up a folder of files up to 100megs each.

As to challenging anything, I am sure that was not your intent. The idea of converting Basic code to C is not a new idea. QB64 uses that approach and you got my interest...

I just like to know what I am downloading and I did not even see the name of the download. Just a button. There is a link there for a description with nothing in it so I decided to forget about it. If you could fix that, I think it would help you, not me. I have enough stuff on my HD.

I've been in similar circumstances myself! That new link still has no file name. I don't think that is a great place to use.

i will answer to all your requests.

first, here is the source you wanted . it can be found at this <a href="http://www.wikiupload.com/download_page ... 0">link</a>.

oh and burger, sorry but WikiUpload doesnt allow me to redirect to the download file. and if i do, it gives a 404 error. so sorry about that.

and to finish, to burger's last question. sorry for not putting the description on the entry page. but WikiUpload didn't let me to put it, click on this <a href="http://www.wikiupload.com/comment.php?179330">link</a> to get to the descriptions page.

and please accept that i couldn't find any better name for my program, if something about this name is wrong. then please tell me. but i really didn't know that this would challenge QuickBasic and\or Freebasic. if this is the cause, i will change the name to something else if you want me to do it. thanks in advance.

oh and if someone wants a better description or position of download, this file was also submitted at <a href="http://www.qb45.com/files.php?cat=10&p=1">QB45.Com</a>. Of Course, only it will be approved.
anyway is Qb45.com still alive? :?

Hrm...not a bad start. It's got quite a few rookie mistakes in it but it gets the job done at least. Keep working at it.

Okay Nodtveidt, i worked on it. (SumoAlien seems to be disappeared???), you can download the new version at Qb45.com. it is BTC v1.1, it got a bit to go though... for the link to the download, click on this <a href="http://www.qb45.com/files.php?cat=10&p=1">link</a>. for the changes, read the Readme.txt file (even though, it has only a few features added..) :)
