you're at liberty to use BASIC yes. ;). hehe

many seem to think that liberty basic is a good language for QB programmers to move to windows with. from teh syntax I've seen, it doesn't look to far off either. I haven't used it, but it does look like a good effort at least.

libby basic is great ive even found a coommercial game made in it once.
you cant compile your programs so ya gotta include the runtime program with a encrypted version of the source.

and as for the price tag.... i would recommend its free version: JUST BASIC

I tried both, Libery and Just Basic. i can tell you, they are VERY easy to use. but if you want abit more control, head to Visual Basic. i tried making games with them, five times harder than normal. with result two times worse than normal. if you are a beginner, try the Just\Liberty Basic. otherwise, head to Visual Basic (RECOMMENDED!)

I dont really agree with you, Nodtveidt.

Liberty basic is not a bad language, it also has a decent community
which seems to be up for atleast 8 years. (yeah, the first one who
bought the first versions of liberty basic was me.), its all easy. but
if you want a better and BETTER one, try Visual basic. or if you want
to program it all by yourself, try FreeBasic or QuickBasic.

VB is far superior to Liberty Basic. Always has been, always will be.
