Hi everyone, I am a SEGA's Columns fan and I made the game "Columns from Scratch" as my first game experience on 2009. Now (4 years late) I am sharing it for you. Sorry for the delay. hahah
This game was programmed in quickbasic 4.5 (okay, i've used notepad++ for editing) and I recommend using dosbox or another emulator to run the game
I just used some tutorials from Pete's QB website.
All the code is commented in brazillian portuguese
There is some screenshots
I hope you enjoy

Re: Game Columns from Scratch
I got it to run in QB64, but I had to use Qbasic to reformat the code.
This code belongs before any SUB procedures or QB64 cannot compile it. Qbasic moves it automatically as it always puts sub procedures at the end of the code.
Interesting game. It seems to mess up once in a while though. Some groups never make it all the way down.
Code: Select all
IniciaTimer
CarregaImagens 'Carrega imagens do game
TelaInicial 'Faz todo o resto ;)
'DesenhaGradeLayout
'teste 'testes nucleares

Re: Game Columns from Scratch
That is good you got run it on QB64. I didn't that test.
Did you got game sounds running on QB64?
Thanx for trying my "game". I know it's no perfect (there some graphics glitches) and yout can finish it in almost 5 minutes, but it was a pleasure experience. Your tutorials helped me a lot.
I hope someday to code other game...
