barok and abionnnn,
Just for the record, I started programming in 1961 and used nothing but assembler for the next 20 years on mainframes, minis and micros. Played with a little Cobol, Algol and Dartmouth Basic in the 1970's. High level languages seemed easy after working in assembler. It's easier to drive a car with automatic when you learned on a stick-shift.

NEW GUY!!
Without a doubt, your a serious begginer because no decent programmer goes to message boards and says that stuff. Nor does an intelligent person type in that ridiculus fashion. That leaves 1 of 2 things. 1, you figured out how to change the colors in command prompt which gives you a sense of "IM A HACKER". 2, your some kid trying to start an argument on a message board. If you had an honest question, you ask it without any stupidity.
...Im assuming your mad at this point... sorry, but it ain't my fault!
* , feels cool cause he just told off some random person online*

If you know asembler, prove it by answering these questions:
1. What is the difference between protected mode and real mode?
2. Name the 16 bit registers and their extended 32-bit counterparts
3. .486 refers to what intel processor(give its specific name)?
4a(if using NASM). what does the 'time' mnemonic do?
4b(if using MASM/TASM). should you use the 'loop' function in today's processors?
5. Did windows 3.1 run in real mode or protected mode?
Mods: append to the question list or modify it to make it harder.
