My laptop lives!!!

Post by {Nathan} »

Some time in the middle of the summer: I turn on my laptop. it runs on batteries and i didn't even know it. They died... like my powercord. Last Monday, I finally got active enough to go on ebay and buy a new one! It came today, I paid $13 for priority shipping... but ohh well!!! THIS RULES!!!

It lives...

I got to go update Firefox, Nortorn Antivirus, Spyware Blaster and Spybot: Search and Destroy. Bye alll!!!

Heh, sounded like what happened to my laptop... Except my adapter probably still works.

The thing is, it sounded like it was on it's last leg. The smell of smoke and the sound of sparking clued me in to it's demise. ;) I might send it in somewhere to see what can be done with it... probably not worth it though. Or at least to see what went wrong.
I have no sig.

I have a Dell Latitude CP from yesteryear...a slick little Pentium 233MMX. :D Needs a power cord though, kinda left it in PA when we moved to PR. :D Tis too bad at the time Dell used a lot of proprietary crap components...

Oh...and the screen doesn't light up, so I gotta always plug it into a monitor. Weird but hey, whatever works. :D

Yeah, working with the latest is always fun, but expensive. I have (correction: using: it's not mine) an AMD Duron 800... when i first got it it was was running like it was dragging a few tons behind it... I had to go and clean it off. Now it runs better than our Dell 1700, which has a pentium 4. :D (well, maybe not better, but almost as well.)
