activate DOS command window

When I activate DOS command window, computer gives a message of shut down I am using a Laptop with Windows XP operating system. When I activate DOS command window (or activated by some of programs) a message ?Your system will be shut down after 49 minutes?? popup in name of owner of my computer. Count down starts and system get shut down after said time.

Sounds like you may have a virus. Scan your computer. If you don't find the problem, do the following.
Go to Microsoft and download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender. MSE will want you to remove any other anti-virus programs that you are using, but I have found that BOTH of the M$ programs work BETTER than them and are FREE!
My PC used to lag at startup using Norton AV. Once I installed MSE it found a worm and now it starts up FAST! Do a FULL SCAN with MSE!
