Hi! I'm an old oldtimer, but new to QBASIC. I've been writing programs in GW-BASIC for fun and usefulness ever since the language was invented. I recently wrote a GW-BASIC Reversi program for my wife, but she didn't like the DOSBOX interface, thought the graphics were poor & wanted to use a mouse in the program - darn modernists! So I moved the program to QBASIC 1.1, added screen 12 graphics and mouse I/O. I compiled it using QB64, put it on her computer, and made her happy with the program. The code is a mess, but the program works fine.
Never tinkered with QBASIC before, so I looked around the net to see if anyone was still enjoying QBASIC hobby programming, and was happy to find this site. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hi, Bongo & Burger! Thanks for the welcome. I'll be taking a look at your websites, too.
I no longer maintain my own website, but did put one up for my wife, who is a writer. The site has some broken links & needs updating now that we've moved to California, but if you want to look at it, here it is:

I was surprised, but pleased, when QB64 immediately compiled my mishmash of a Reversi program. It ran right away, no problems.
Lots to look at on this QBASIC site, when I get time to do it. Be seein' ya!

OKAY!
OK, I'll watch it. Didn't really think of that as an advertisement, but since she does sell books there in addition to publishing entertaining articles, I guess it is. She is a professional writer, after all.
She also has a blog, which I think is totally non-commercial. Please let me know if you consider it otherwise, and I'll refrain from mentioning it again. Here it is: http://kate-burke.blogspot.com/
