With Bluetooth and WIFI you can use them to order stuff from Amazon with the press of a button eh?
This link shows us what is inside and has links to projects people have redesigned them for:
Meet the Amazon Dash Button
$4.99 gets you one and a $4.99 coupon for that particular product...but you have to be signed in to Amazon.
You also need the Android phone app to verify and confirm the order. It will also stop working until an
order is shipped unless the app is set for multiple orders...then the kids can order hundreds for you...

1.5V AAA 400mAh li-po rechargeable lithium batteries
I was looking for some rechargeable AAA batteries for my Magic Jack WIFI phones.
An LED indicator on the side tells when the battery is fully charged by any micro USB cable.
Only problem is that they cannot be charged inside of any recharging device...they use a micro USB cable.
The cable is included with two costing $17 with free shipping on E bay.
NiCad or NiMh batteries charge differently with different voltage tolerances.
So even if they cost $8 apiece, you can only use them in devices using regular batteries!
