You are trying to discourage creativity!
What is wrong with you people? Trying to discourage creativity? Using ugly sarcasm? All the time you spent putting Cory down could have been spent doing something useful.
I am helping Cory with his project. This is not something that is going to be abandoned in a few days like you WEIRDOS say. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Hi again Cory..
I shall rephrase:
GIVE MORE INFO BEFORE EXPECTING PEOPLE TO DO ANYTHING BUT FLAME/REPLY WITH SARCASM/MAKE FUN OF IT!
Clear enough?
Having a Guest come to the forum, and go:
"I'm making the best game ever! I only need help with [everything], so if you wanna help Email me [aka: I'm too lazy to chack back to the forum where the people are]"
See..
Here's how it should have been done:
Register on the forum
Make a nice post, without UPPERCASE LETTERS AND LOTS OF !!!!
Having proper spelling is a plus (makes it look more serious) but isn't required
In the post you give information about the type of product you aim to make, preferably with information of what you've already done.
Aditionally, give information of what you would like help with.
And don't expect people to email you, if you want help, atleast bother to check back.
But you'll take this as sarcasm and/or flaming.. and will just say we're WEIRD!!!111 ZOMG LOLZ!!11
Good luck with your project, whatever it may be, in whatever language, and I hope you get help with whatever it was you wanted help with..

so now days you need atleast a demo engine with some screen shots or atleast a big enough presents with in the community with some respected before anyone will ever take you serriously

No one ever thanked me for help...
They would just thank the kid that posted after me of the exact same thing...
Sadly Z!re's right...

I'm sorry Mitth, did you say something?
Seriously, I've been burnt by that same candle too. I however replied to Lurah's post in a humoristic way, I didn't insult the original poster. .
In my case some of these projects I "helped" with even went commercial and no one knows I exist. Back when I was a good programmer but not a smart one (didn't learn about copyrights and all back then some 20 years ago)...Don't try and pull that stunt today though .
In other words, I spent many months to many years (helping other people get THEIR job done) so a while back I decided to put a stop to that. And do my own thang...I still help today, but like the industry itself which almosts expects a project to be completed to be invested in (which should change by the way. You think of something that will revolutionize the world, you better have a prototype, atleast, before people will listen. That's working from finish to start, illogical, but it is reality). The expect people to work at home, evenings and weekends, do everything there is to do. and if they like it, they'll invest...HELLO, it's like...too F****** late....ya dig? and now the wanna take credit for it? better have a big fat checkbook and a bank account to go with it too... Wow, just got carried away lol. All this to say, I need to see a minimum of self investment before I invest myself. really that simple...and I know I'm not the only one, most of the programming and gaming industry wants atleast a minimum....just the way things are.....
Thanks in advance for taking the time (off your precious schedule) to read this...and now back to whatever it was youz were doin!!! lol.

Actaually, Using...
CHR$(0) + "H"
CHR$(0) + "P"
CHR$(0) + "K"
CHR$(0) + "M"
will use the Arrow Keys. It's a much more refined and educated way of
using movement. Try it, maybe you'll learn something.[/img]c:\documents and settings\cory\desktop\alpha.bmp

Ya'll, shut your traps.
Cory's my buddy. I recently helped him with another one of his Qbasic programs, and he was great to work with. Even though I provided minimal assistance, he still thanked me very nicely and even called me a "Genius".
BTW, Cory never said his program was "the greatest" or anything else. The reason he mentioned the bitmaps and stuff was because THAT'S WHAT HE NEEDS HELP WITH. Now, either help, or don't help. I could care less. I'm sure if you're going to be critical and rude, Cory would rather not have you on his team.

Reply to the questions I asked, and I might consider helping.
As it stands now, Cory is a troll, and you're stupid for thinking we're rude when asking for more information.

I am Cory's father, and I don't like the way you fellas are treating him. He comes in here asking for help, and this is how you treat him? I have half a mind to call the Better Business Bureau. You will all bow to him or I shall hump you to death with my giant handlebar moustache!!!
Hi guys...
Guess who?
