Mad Libs
First Impression A text Mad Libs game. Wow. (Notice my enthusiasm?)
What It's Like It's a screen 12 text game with horrible coding and pretty much no point. If you don't know what mad libs are, they're these little books with stories with certain words left out. Before reading the story, you fill in a sheet that tells what kind of word the left out words are and gives you numbers. (adjective, noun, verb, etc.) When you're done, you read the story with the filled in words, and it's supposed to be funny. I never really found them that funny, but that's just me. What this program does is have you choose one of four Mad Libs 'stories' and fill out the answer sheet. Then you get to read the story that was made by substituting your words. Ooooh, fun.
Other things you should know This program's coding is shabby, and it has bugs. It's not very entertaining, and the only part that was fairly cool was the opening "title" thing, and that still was horrible. According to the remarks at the beginning of the program, it's the first program that this person's ever written. I have no problem with newbies, but I'm giving it what it deserves.

Graphics The only graphics in this game are those on the title screen -- just a bunch of CIRCLEs and LINEs to make the software company's name show up. After a few seconds, circles get drawn around the title, and make the circle shrink into blackness, and then the multi-colored text of the game shows up. This little opening animation is okay for what it is, but it should be better. The multi-colored text adds to the eye candy of this game, but I must say that this candy is rather bitter..

Sound Nope.

Flexibility/Features None. Nada. Nothing. This program has enough features to fulfill it's purpose (it doesn't do this very well), and nothing more. It's main features are colored text and the title screen thing, but they're not very special.

Gameplay/Control INPUT handles this. Good? No. It works for this program because it doesn't need any special input, but it would have been nice if a little more effort was put into the menu...

Overall Impression It's the first program of a newbie. I'm sure it's better than most of our first programs. (It's way better than mine!) But.. first programs aren't meant to be released, or if they are released, they should be good. Sorry I had to score you so low, but that's what this program is worth.
