|First Impression||Oh boy, another RPG. Whoop-de-doo. The graphics suck, the sound is annoying, the maps are horrible... the story rules! This game is long and absorbing!|
|What It's Like||You know how RPGs go... you are the leader of a party of men and monsters trying to save your kingdom or the world or whatever... The story is better than that, though... you have to read it because I can't remember the whole thing, but trust me, it's good. There is a nice battle engine, and a lot of towns, people and areas to sort out and go through.|
|Other things you should know||This game doesn't look like much, but it took tons of code and stuff to work out. This is very complex! If this had better graphics, it would have been a smash hit. Also: this program won a gold medal at the 1998 Qlympics.|
Horrible, horrible, horrible! You can tell what everything is, but they are not anywhere close to quality. The magics that you use in battle are okay, but a one-armed, half drunken ape could have probably done better...
Internal speaker music for all sound. There is no music except for in battle, and most sound is from attacking your foes during fights. There are short little "ditties" in battle and a couple other things... This is about average speaker music, but can get annoying...
Full length, top-notch story. It is told by village people, movies and slideshows, very well-done. After you start this game, you'll play until you beat it. It's got about four hours of gameplay, and is really good!
It's an RPG. What do you expect? Arrows move, escape lets you see your sub-menu, and enter is your action and selection key. This is used in just about every RPG ever made, but it's used over and over again because it works so well.
Good story and a great job coding it. It's an RPG in every sence of the acronym (heh), and is a pretty cool game. It gets challenging, has cheats built in, a good menu system, an okay story and many, many other nice things. It's a full-length involving RPG.
