The Mystical Journey Demo
First Impression Oohh, neat title screen! That rolling affect rules! Wow, look at that moving water, and the neat battle graphics! Pretty darn cool! But... the character graphics suck.

Other things you should know Wonderful effects and stuff! Also, good graphics for land and backgrounds and enemies, but crappy character and NPC graphics! It is not finished, but has a very complex engine, which will take downloadable add-ons, plus has many tile types and stuff.

The rating
Graphics This is a toss-up between a 4 and a 5. Most of the graphics are excellent, but some downright suck. Also, it looks like some are ripped (or taken from other pictures), but I'm not sure.

Sound Great midi music! It is well balanced, and pretty good. I like it a lot!
*****
Plot/Story A pretty good story, but it isn't close to being done, and is very stereotypical. A good story if it had more to it, but it's sort of 'unfinished' still.
****
Gameplay/Control Up, down, left and right, space, enter, escape, and that's it. Simple and effective. Your standard RPG buttons that work fine and are effective.

Overall Impression Fine program. Cool effects. It is not close to being finished, and has a lot of cool magics, some original features, and other stuff, but the story is really dumb now, and some of the graphics are cheesy... heh, cheesy.
