Nathan, do that... those tut on cracking programs might be sumfin to build into Qbinux... but without warranty and any kind of manual... safety regulations...
I know why you're here. I know what you've been doing... why you hardly sleep, why you live alone, and why night after night, you sit by your computer...<br>
Unfortunately, no one can be told what Qbinux is. You have to see it for yourself.

Hey guys, I'm really behind on this issue. Sorry. It's gonna be several days before I get it out.
But that means that you can still submit!
The amount of submissions this month was very small, probably the smallest amount since issue 5 or 6... so I'm really looking for articles (especially TUTORIALS).

Wow... this is a mighty small issue...

I couldn't send it to you, so it's here:
http://fileanchor.com/6840-d
That's the whole shebang, so it should run.

I haven't looked at it in details yet...I basically perused the module...tried to run it (which it did)...but one thing i can say it's one of the best code I've seen in a good while. documented just how I like em...good naming conventions, clear easy to follow...good job
EDIT: It works in execution and all...the comments mention a file called winfonts.bas and I can't see that anywhere..can you include it in the zip?

Would you like to see this GUI in Qbinux? It seems as a good basic GUI to me.Kylemc wrote:Mystik, if you want screenshots of Edge, they are here:

Only couple of probs...
1. I first need a good working release of Qbinux
2. I won't have internet at home anymore till December or maybe even January
3. Qbinux won't have a gui until version 0.3 (but that isn't that long anymore).
When I have debugged McClouth QBinux 0.2 and have added some more things, I will try to build in the gui.
Until furture notice

I finally finished C++ for the Basic Programmer Part 2. I didn't think I'd have it in me to make the deadline, but I did. It covers:
-Prototype declarations
-Variable Scope
-Zero Terminated Strings
-Pointers
-Heap Memory
-Structures
-Classes (which covers theory, creating classes, encapsulation, getters and setters, and inheritance)
We've still got a ways to go. I wouldn't be surprised if it took two issues for me to finish it. I still want to cover:
-Linked Lists
-Pointers and Heap memory as they relate to classes
-Constructors and Destructors
-Static Member functions
-Overloading
-Polymorphism
-Abstract Classes
-Opening files
-Including Libraries
-Error Handling Classes
-Possibly Multiple Inheritence
Wow. Yeah, I just realized that yes, it will take two issues.
After that, you're on your own.

I'm not a C++ expert by any means, so if I screwed anything up, or anything I said was false, PLEASE, let me know! Although I did test all of the code.
"Wow. That was a lot. I just spend all of today testing the code, making sure it worked (some of it didn't), and finishing up this edition of the tutorial. I need a Coke. Yes, a Coke, and then I'll go downstairs and play Quake for N64. I'm checking out a lot of 3D stuff, so I gotta play the classics... besides, it was $9 (Canadian currency too) at the used game shop, so who wouldn't? "
That was from the end of the tutorial... and right now, I'm sitting here, enjoying a nice fountain Coke (I think I have an addiction), and I'm about to go downstairs to set up my N64. Should be fun.
