Anyways, I was planning on designing my own variation of DEBIAN LINUX, but can't decide on all of the programs that it should include. Ideas?
I have so far...

And, make a laptop version with NTSD Wrapper and some other wireless/PCMICIA or whatever it is support, and I will use it :wink:

I think you're going way over your head with a Linux project...
I think you should start with a simple linear ASM task launcher, and then work your way up the totem pole....

I wouldn't use KDE. Personally I would just use XFCE.

Programs that ran almost decently in linux when installed on My PC:
Glade, helix, FreePascal and its IDE...

Linux needs a workstation that runs very fast and efficiantly on all PCs... some small one that performs better than it looks, like some sort of TOS...

I can get ya a tutorial on how to build your own... and you can boot it from a CD or DVD!! How bout that...??

A live-cd? I could probably do that... Gimme a link to a tutorial and I'll try it. But, it would probably have to be a DVD, since the file size already is well over 700mb.

OK, new idea. I am going to use SLACKWARE (install) and SLAX (live cd) for my linux system. I might make changes later.

Idea: stop ripping off existing linux distros and write one of your own based on the core linux kernel.

After a huge problem with my transfer drive, I have reattempted to rebuild my LiveCD.

So far I have...
KDE - Fluxbox - XFCE
FreeBASIC 0.15B
DOSBOX
QBASIC 1.1
FireFox 1.5
KDevelop (C++ environments, mostly.)
SuperTUX
Wireless Wrapper and assistant (for nathan :P )
----
plus random things to help FreeBASIC work correctly.
Adding more relatively quickly.
