The Qlympics 2006 is finally here! This is your opportunity to help us decide the top programs in all of our categories. The purpose of this ballot is to narrow down the field so that in the final round of the Qlympics, we will have only three to five nominees per category. But first, we need your advice! So fill out this form, and let's get this party started!

The final voting round will begin with the release of QB Express #22, in August, 2006.

The Rules

Only one ballot per person!

For each category, a maximum number of nominees that you may vote for is specified. You may abstain from voting in any category, or you may vote for fewer than the maximum number of nominees.

If you or one of your programs is nominated, you are allowed to vote for yourself.

Cheating will not be tolerated; if we find evidence of cheating / multiple ballots, we reserve the right to throw out any illegitimate ballots that are submitted.

Write-in Nominations

The ballot features "Write-in Nominations" slots for each category. If there is a game that you would like to nominate for an award, but we overlooked it when we generated the nominations list, feel free to write it in. If enough people write in a nominee, it will be subject to voting in the final round. However, a program must be eligible for the award: it must be appropriate for the category you are entering it into, and it must have been created and released after January 1st, 2003.

Write-in nominations count as votes just like check box votes, so keep in mind that you still may vote only the set number of times for each category.

Additional categories

There are a few other awards categories that will not be subject to this nominations round:

Best QuickBasic Game Developer of All Time - to be determined by a poll on the front page of Pete's QB Site; check the "Monthly Poll" section of QB Express for more info.
Best QuickBasic Game - All FB games nominated in the "Game" categories will be eligible.
Best FreeBasic Game - All FB games nominated in the "Game" categories will be eligible.
Special Achievement Awards - To be awarded to individuals for remarkable contributions to the QB / FB community. These awards will be determined by the Qlympics staff and organizers, and will not be subject to voting.
