Description:
A turn-based fighting game, inspired by images on www.bumfights.com. Multiplayer hotseat mode, one to eight players. Any player can be controlled by AI (allows for single-player game, or allows for AI bums in multiplayer games). Strategy revolves around conserving movement points and collecting the best combination of weapons (knives, rocks, trash can lids, etc).
Seven map files are included. I never got around to making it easily moddable, so you cannot have more than seven maps, but you can modify the map data files. They are just serialized versions of 24x23 arrays.
Refer to readme.txt or the help section in the game for more information, and important information about the game's controls (they're a bit non-standard).

An enhanced version of my first game which I wrote in
2005 (few months later after the discovery of QBASIC).
You control a red eater-alien of JAW race. You have to
eat McBonald's burgers and drink Koka cola and not eat
pieces of s**t flying around.
Any way there are no SUBs and FUNCTIONs used because
I learned the basics of BASIC from a 20 Year old book
(least basics are all similar).
This program should be used as a warning that says
"don't program this way !!!" or "try to make it better" !!!

This is my work-in-progress clone of super mario brothers 1 for NES. It includes a level editor. Uses a library for keyboard input routines, since INKEY$ is... not exactly ideal for gaming! Other than that, EVERYTHING is 100% pure QB. Actually runs pretty fast on a decent computer. On my 2Ghz Athlon XP 2400, when there are a lot of things on the screen, its around 15 FPS, if not faster.
I also tried it only my 300 Mhz laptop, where its more like 1-3 FPS lol. Next version will have enemy movement and optional frameskip for slow machines.

You must save Earth from an alien invasion in this is fun and addicting space shooter written in pure QB code. In fact, the graphics are all generated from scratch by LINE, CIRCLE, PAINT and PSET statements, which is quite an accomplishment. Mooncrap also makes expert use of the simple beeps and bloops of the PC speaker to create really great sound effects from scratch. Mooncrap has many cool features like in-flight docking for a firepower boost, and aliens that dance around the screen in nicely choreographed paths. Pretty impressive for pure QB!

You are in control of a mower. You must mow all of the grass in the yard, while avoiding the flowers, bricks, and fencing. Be careful though, the family dog wants to come out and play. You must mow as much as you can, without running over the dog. If you hit the flowers, the owner will come out and then you have to dodge her too. Neat.

As some people couldn't get my original upload to run properly, I've released this update which contains a version without any of the sound routines [as well as the original uploaded program]. Both contain a minor bug-fix regarding Power-Up #3...
This program serves as a reminder that you don't need to use 3rd party libraries to make a legitimate-looking game in QBASIC. Pixel Snake Gem Hunt! is a "Nibbles" clone with graphics that you'll need to see to believe and sound effects that work properly in Windows XP. Honestly, this is top-notch work, a must download.
